The Way Things Are

It is funny how if something is meant to be all the planets align and cause it to happen.
I was hired about 2 months ago as a sesonal at Sears...which by the way is the worse place to work...ever! I had been hoping that a job would open up at the zoo that I filled the requirements for...Well lo and behold one did! So heres the scoop....
I am a volunteer at the Indianapolis Zoo and love what I do. I am attending school in hopes of becomeing a trainer in the marine mammals department. I suffered through getting my scuba certification and applied for an internship in marine mammals. I knew from the get go that it is very competitive and I would be lucky if I got it on the first try. I went in for my marine mammal volunteer shift and was told that they had already selected two people but I should try again next year. I was sad but satisfied to know that I had a good chance of making it next time. So I went on my merry way to my clerical volunteer position. I was just sitting there minding my own bussiness when Sarah asks me if I wanted a job. I leapt at the oppertunity and I start my new job as receptionist in Education on Tuesday.
I am so excited I can hardly wait!

BA in Detroit

I am going!!!!! I ordered my tickets on presale this morning. I have listened to several songs of "CexCells" and am psyched about picking up a hard copy of the album in 5 days!
Just curious...who else is going to this show...or any BA show???

Band Camp

Phew it is finally over. I just recovered from band camp number 9. The begining of the week was really nice - we had a great breeze that kept everybody cool. But by the end of the week it was in the mid-90's with no breeze or cloud in the sky.
On the plus side I had an extra boost of incentive by Wednesday because I was able to acquire the "Stiff Kittens" single. Rockin out to it on the way every morning was a god send.
Now I am off to catch up on the homework that has pilled up - I wonder how many points will be deducted for my late work.

Sick

This totally suxs. My throat is swallow to the point that I can't hardly swallow. It is raw from coughing, and my left ear feels like I have a foot long nail jabbed in it.

On the plus side I went shoping today. I found a Blaqk Audio t-shirt at Hot Topic and snatched it up. The tag was marked $18 and it rang up for $20. I mentioned it to the guy who was ringing me up and he said that since it was the stores fault for not remarking it he let me have it for $18. I love it when other people fuck up and I benefit!

I may be off to medcheck for a quick fix perscription.
